At high water temperatures, in particular, a shortage of oxygen can occur in the pond. Deeper regions are particularly affected in this regard. A sure signal that there is a lack of oxygen is if fish are gasping for air on the pond surface or if the filter performance is poor.
Dosage:
Distribute approx. 10 to 20ml per 1000 litres of pond water over the surface of the pond at regular intervals of 8 to 10 days. Increase the dosage to 50ml in cases of acute lack of oxygen. Use OptiPond aditionally if the carbonate hardness (QuickStack) is below 5o dKH. Can also be used in late fall to avoid formation of fermentation gases in winter.
